LampenCam™
Virtual Camera
Professional 6DoF virtual camera control for Blender using your Android phone.
Interface conceptCamera control from your phone
The Android app uses ARCore to track your phone’s position and rotation. A companion Blender extension receives that movement over local Wi-Fi and applies it to a camera or another object.
Live view
Blender sends a view back to the phone so you can frame the scene while moving.
Recording
Record camera movement and bake it into animation keyframes.
Privacy
No ads, no analytics and no account with me. The app asks only for camera and network access, and sends tracking data only to Blender on your local network.
This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy .
Requirements and availability
You’ll need an ARCore-capable Android phone and a desktop running Blender with the companion extension. Development targets Blender 5.2 LTS.
LampenCam will be released on Google Play, with installation instructions and a supported-device list.
Licensing
The Android app is free to use and closed source. The companion Blender extension is GPL-3.0-or-later.
